Imran Khan is glad about the spy thriller web series not kicking off

In the interview, Imran told the interviewer that he was glad in a way that it did not work out. When asked why would he say such a thing, Imran gave out a big sigh and said that he did not want to play a character who solves the problems with a gun. Furthermore, Imran explains that people tend to glamourize, fetishize and sexualize violence and that makes him uncomfortable. He defends the violence in movies claiming that he has loved the action movies from the 90s.

However, he reasons that violence has a way it can be portrayed. He adds that there's a need to be the weight of what an actor is doing in such films. He gave an example of Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix when he stabbed a man in the movie. He complained about how films these days are made with one single guy shooting fire and seven heads exploding to a BGM. Imran Khan says, "They make it cool and sexy and it makes me uncomfortable."

Imran Khan talks about stepping away from Bollywood

As per Indian Express, Imran Khan talked about how the industry is monetary-driven. He talks about how an actor has an entire ecosystem in place be it with PRs and management. Everyone is just talking money, be it with brand endorsements, appearances or even event appearances as special guests. He realised that his love for films wasn't that way. Imran admits that Katti Batti's failure did trigger him to step away from the limelight. However, it was built up over time.
