Bollywood actress Gauhar Khan, known for her stellar appearances in Bollywood and TV, has opened up about her struggles. The Bigg Boss Season 7 winner started her own podcast channel on YouTube and opened up about an emotional chapter of suffering a miscarriage nine weeks into her pregnancy before recently embracing motherhood.
In her podcast MaaNoranjan, Gauhar Khan mainly talked about motherhood and the struggles related to it. The actress, who is already a mother to a son, is expecting another child. While talking about motherhood, Gauhar revealed a shocking detail that she went through a miscarriage when she was 9 weeks pregnant.
The actress said, "There's one thing I never told everyone. I did have a miscarriage before Zehaan. What should I tell you about that feeling? It's impossible to describe. It was a pregnancy, and I lost the baby after almost 9 weeks. That loss was extremely difficult."
Speaking further on the topic of pregnancy and motherhood, Gauhar Khan also took the time to address a controversial statement made by Suniel Shetty. For the unversed, the Border actor had praised his daughter, Athiya Shetty, for choosing a natural delivery over a 'comfortable' C-section. She said, "A what? I want to scream at the top of my voice and say, 'How could you say that?' How? There are so many myths around this topic, that if someone is having a C-section, it's the easier option. How can there be so much misinformation? And for a male celebrity to say that, who didn't go through pregnancy, didn't carry a child, doesn't know how painful a C-section is."
Suniel Shetty has since apologised for his statement after facing severe backlash from the internet over his C-section statement. In an interview with Moneycontrol, the actor mentioned that a couple of lines from his interview have been taken out of context, and are being blown out of proportion.
