After almost seventeen years of Life In A...Metro's release, the filmmaker released the second instalment of the franchise. It stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher and others. The movie received positive response from the audience. In terms of box office, Metro...In Dino is facing competition from Aamir Khan's movie Sitaare Zameen Par that released on June 20. The RS Prasanna directorial is still holding strong at the box office.

As per a report in Sacnilk.com, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan-starrer Metro...In Dino saw a jump in numbers on its second day. The positive word of mouth seems to have helped in boosting the numbers. Reportedly, it made around Rs 6 crore at the box office on day 2. The numbers are almost double than the first day business. On its opening day, the multi-starrer had made around Rs 3.5 crore. The total collection of Metro... In Dino by the end of two days is Rs 9.5 crore. It is anticipated that the movie will perform well over the first Sunday and end first weekend on a good note. However, the numbers are nowhere close to the benchmark set by Sitaare Zameen Par. The second day business of Aamir Khan-starrer was Rs 20.2 crore.
Sitaare Zameen Par box office report day 16
Aamir Khan's movie is still holding strong at the box office. In fact, it has shown growth in numbers on third Saturday as reported by Sacnilk.com. The report suggests that the movie has earned Rs 4.75 crore at the box office on day 16. It has shown growth as on day 15, the movie made Rs 2.4 crore. Sitaare Zameen Par is now quite close to the mark of Rs 150 crore as its total collection is Rs 142.55 crore. Aamir Khan's film that also stars Genelia Dsouza in a key role has managed to impress the audience with his heart-touching storyline and good performances by the actors.
