Idli Kadai OTT release: The new film of Tamil cinema superstar Dhanush, Idli Kadai, is going to be available on OTT platforms very soon. The movie will be available on Netflix from Wednesday, October 29 after it has been shown in theaters for four weeks. Interestingly, the audience will not be able to watch it only in Tamil but also in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Idli Kadai is a rural drama to which Dhanush has contributed as a writer and director besides acting in it. The film was well received in the theaters, and now, for those who want to see it again, it will be on Netflix.
What is the story of Idli Kadai?
The plot revolves around Murugan, a young villager who leaves his village for the city to chase his dreams. His parents keep running their old idli stall. But after a few years, situations force Murugan to come back to the village. His return turns out to be the greatest turning point in his life. The film expresses through its narrative the very essence of family ties and the constant need for a person to feel that he/she belongs and also to stay connected with his/her roots.

The cast of Idli Kadai includes Dhanush and other veteran actors like Rajkiran, Sathyaraj, Nithya Menen, Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Geet Kilasam, Ilavarasu, and Samuthirakani. The music for the film is composed by GV Prakash, who has worked with Dhanush once again for the collaboration. The film perfectly integrates the rural backdrop, family emotions, and music, thus winning over hearts of the audience with its straightforwardness and touching storyline.
Dhanush was the one behind the camera in films like Pa Paandi, Raayan, and Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, which were from different genres. Idli Kadai is now his first movie but with a tender and family-oriented storyline.
