Thamma box office collection day 8: With Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, Thamma has already made over Rs 100 crore in India and is on track to overtake Munjya's total. Thamma made Rs 5.50 crore net in India on Tuesday, October 28, bringing its total domestic revenue to Rs 101.3 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

This puts the movie ahead of Bhediya (2022), starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, which earned Rs 68.99 crore in India and Rs 94.91 crore globally. During its run, Abhay Verma and Sharvari's Munjya brought in Rs 101.10 crore in India and Rs 125 crore worldwide.

After earning Rs 4.3 crore on Monday and Rs 13.1 crore and Rs 12.6 crore over the weekend respectively, the movie too saw a little rise on Tuesday, earning Rs 5.50 crore. With its opening of Rs 24 crore on October 21, Thamma had a great start despite receiving mixed reviews.

In this horror comedy, we see the romance between Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushman Khurana. Thamma centres on journalist Alok Goyal (played by Ayushmann Khurrana). After meeting a mysterious Tadaka (Rashmika Mandanna) in a haunted woodland, he transforms into a vampire or betal. Their love story takes a violent turn when Yakshasan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), the vampire king, adds havoc.
