'I have no idea': Smriti Mandhana's brother SHUTS DOWN rumours about her December 7 wedding with Palash Muchhal

Smriti Mandhana-Palash Muchhal Wedding: On Tuesday, December 2, new rumours that Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal had decided on December 7 as their new wedding date sparked yet another round of conjecture on social media. The rumour spread swiftly, causing Smriti's brother Shravan Mandhana to intercede and put the rumours to rest. "I have no idea about these rumours. As of now, it (the wedding) is still postponed," he told Hindustan Times, calling the viral date nothing but misinformation.

How was Smriti-Palash's wedding postponed?

After Smriti's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, experienced a serious medical emergency, the couple's November 23 wedding in Sangli abruptly ended. On the morning of the ceremony, the families had to halt the procedures because he had to be taken to the hospital.

In a related occurrence, Palash was also admitted to a medical institution after enduring great stress following the turn of events. His mother later reported that he had been placed on IV support and completed several tests before being discharged.

Speculation spirals with cheating...

Because neither family responded right away, there was a storm of speculation on the internet. Allegations of infidelity emerged as reported screenshots of private chats started to circulate. Social media users speculated that the postponement could have been caused by Palash cheating on Smriti, rather than merely the health problem.

Adding fire to the speculation was Smriti's online activity; she deleted her engagement posts, including her proposal video, and removed tags tied to Palash. Many fans viewed these gestures as an indication that things were not easy between the two.
